I grew up climbing trees and making dens in Somerset and in various past lives I have been a lifeguard, barista, synchronised swimmer (yes, sequins and nose clips!) and ballroom dancer - Strictly style. I’m incredibly lucky to have been to Thailand, New Zealand, Saint Lucia, driven the West coast of California, kayaked in the Grand Canyon and (thanks to jet lag!) watched the sun rise in Monument Valley.

Now I’m much more of a home bird in Alveston, South Glos. I love a cup of tea, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and a Crunchie! I’ll gladly binge a box-set for as long as my sleeping baby will allow (not that long!). And photography is my obsession. The technical side of it delights my inner geek. The creative side is like therapy. I have the amazing privilege of seeing families grow from newborn days through childhood and beyond.

Why family photography? Because my own baby book which my mum put together and gave to me when I got married has one photograph in particular that stands out - the one of my mum holding me the day we got home from hospital after I was born. It’s a beautiful photo of a special moment. And it’s the only photo I have of just me and my mum. She doesn’t do photos of herself. And I’m confident this is pretty common. I’m extremely camera shy myself! But family photos are beautiful memories, and I love to make them - wonderful, emotion filled images that mums are proud to display in their homes, even the ones with them in!

Why choose me? First, I’m a bit of a perfectionist (in a good way)! I have an fanatical eye for detail and I’m always striving for a stress free and highly professional experience for you, from beginning to end. My pricing is clear and I’ll guide you every step of the way to create the best images possible.

Second, I’m a mum - I worry about my little ones’ behaviour and I do not like having my picture taken at all! I have worked hard on perfecting how I shoot so that it hardly feels like a photography session at all. I get children on side and do minimal ‘posing’ in the traditional sense. As a result the time feels very relaxed and the images look natural but there are careful adjustments that I make to show you at your absolute best.

Have a look through my images and if you like the style of my images get in touch; I’d love to work with you.
